Diamond Willow

This is one of my hobby's that I've had a lot of fun with for the last few years. I make fishing rod handles out of a wood called diamond willow. Its a mutated form of willow that grows in the swamps around here. It just looks like scrub brush that's dying, not impressive at all, but once its cut, peeled, dried, sanded and varnished it's quite beautifull. I've made fishing rod handles by the hundreds. I've also made walking sticks, canes, lamps, pitchers and mirror frames, fillet knife handles;and numerous other things. I sell them and make enough to re buy my supplies and a little profit. I have fun doing it but I've been slaking lately. But now ice fishing is over so I'm going to have to get at it some more. I have some people wanting some itemss but not much. Just something I do.
